Corinne Le Buhan, PhD, founded IPStudies in 2010 to develop new products and services in the field of Intellectual Property Analytics in Europe. Her 30+ years experience of technology management and R&D projects exposed her to a diversity of academic, public sector and industry perspectives, both at the SME and corporate level, including C-level decision committees, in the ICT as well as medtech/biotech sectors.

She managed the international patent portfolio from Nagravision (Kudelski group) from 2007 to 2010. She was also responsible for a number of international standardization and regulatory activities as a technologist from 1995 to 2010 in the field of digital television.

From 2014 to the sales of this activity to Centredoc, the Swiss Center for Business and Technology Intelligence in 2022, the IPStudies biotech patent analytics team has been regularly cited by scientific media as well as researchers and policy makers for its worldwide CRISPR patent landscape data.

Corinne Le Buhan represented Switzerland as expert in the European Commission Horizon2020 Advisory Group on Innovation in SMEs from 2013 to 2015. In 2017, she co-founded the Swiss Patent Information User Group CHPIUG. She registered as a Qualified Patent Information Professionnal (QPIP) from 2019 to 2022.

From 2007 to 2022, Corinne Le Buhan has setup the IP strategy and IP management processes for several high-tech companies with a strong focus on IP valuation for the US markets, through different investment rounds towards strategic M&A or IPO exits. A member of the Licensing Executive Society, she has been teaching her experience on IP portfolios valuation and international licensing agreements at IEEPI in France and Switzerland from 2013 to 2024.

Corinne Le Buhan holds a MsC in electrical engineering from INSA in Rennes (1994), a PhD in Telecommunications from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne (1998), a post-graduate diploma in Strategic Management of Intellectual Property and Innovation from the University of Strasbourg in Economy (2008).

Corinne Le Buhan is the author/co-author of 20 scientific and technical publications, as well as the inventor/co-inventor of 23 international patent applications (incl. 24 US granted patents).

A native from Brittany, Corinne Le Buhan now lives in the Swiss Alps with her husband Fred Jordan, a serial technology entrepreneur. She is a proud mother of two young adult daughters. Beyond her technology and IP practice, her vision of a smarter future emerging from our collective intelligence received several awards at regional and international open innovation challenges, including the Economist-Innocentive 2011 Human Potential Index ideation prize. Following the acquisition of the IPStudies biotech patent analytics business by CENTREDOC, the Swiss Center for Business and Technology Intelligence in 2022, Corinne Le Buhan trained in nutrition for slow-aging, including 450h of medical studies (anatomy, physiology, pathologies) to become a certified practitioner in Switzerland as part of the ASCA complementary health insurance system in 2024. She further specialized as a neuro-nutritionist under supervision by Prof. MD. Olivier Coudron at the S.I.I.N (Scientific Institute for Intelligent Nutrition) from 2023 to 2025. Since 2024, she has been developing the Jekkos hub, a multi-resource platform dedicated to brain health prevention and support to care givers for families facing orphan neurodegenerative diseases.
