CORINNE LE BUHAN TO DISCUSS THE FUTURE OF WORK AT THE ECONOMIST’S IDEAS ECONOMY: HUMAN POTENTIAL CONFERENCE ON SEPTEMBER 14TH-15TH

TWO-DAY EVENT TO EXAMINE TALENT, CREATIVITY, AND SURPRISING NEW JOBS TRENDS

(NEW YORK, NY – LES PACCOTS, SWITZERLAND) Sept 5th, 2011 – Corinne Le Buhan, Founder and Principal Consultant at ipstudies.ch, will discuss the future of work at The Economist’s second annual Ideas Economy: Human Potential conference on September 14th-15th at The Times Center in New York City.  The September event will focus on ”the next level of competition”, the trends and ideas transforming the nature of work and several of the key issues covered in The Economist’s “Future of Jobs” special report to be released on September 10th.  Corinne Le Buhan won the Economist-Innocentive Human Potential Index innovation challenge with her proposal to develop a creative sharing index to measure human potential development, and will join other notable business leaders, management thinkers, authors and intellectuals at the conference.

Ideas Economy: Human Potential will examine the mechanisms through which individuals, companies and nations can channel competitive energy into positive change. It will also explore how the rise of the social web, increased innovation and the expansion of the entrepreneurial spirit will create more business opportunities than ever before. Through interactive, action-oriented sessions with top thinkers on strategy, innovation, management, creativity, and information,Ideas Economy: Human Potential will chart a new map for growth, productivity, and progress for a competitive age.

“Powerful trends are completely transforming the nature of work and the supply and demand for jobs,” said Matthew Bishop, U.S. business editor and NY bureau chief for The Economist.  “In ten years’ time the global labor market will be a very different place and this will have serious implications for businesses, governments and individuals over the next decade and beyond.”

“Mankind has grown unprecedentedly creative, resulting in more scientific works, inventions and user-generated content than ever before. Simultaneously, mankind has become more connected, via broadband and mobile networks, carrying both broadcast and social media. Now is the time to better leverage our inherent “creative sharing” capabilities to co-design our future,” said Corinne Le Buhan. “By measuring the impact and influence of our individual creative works as they spread through and are enriched by human communities, we can develop a more sustainable and empowering perspective on human potential development.”
